An artistic experiment searching for sound emissions and the limit of human hearing. Composed of infrasonic material that have a low acoustic impedance. Humans will be able to identify tones as low as 12hz. Natural and human produced infrasonic sounds is anywhere, all the time. The artistic idea was to use background noises, signal fidelity, harmonic distortion, low-frequency in order to foster a soundscape of infrasound that travels through space. Recording of pond sounds in april. There are multiple creatures making sounds here - however, it is not purely nature sounds - there is a highway about a mile away and some of that drone is evident in the background. The foreground however is strong enough that it should be useful for basic nature ambient sound.

This sound was recording while standing against the fence at the burbank/hollywood (formerly bob hope) airport. I was standing in the direct path of the plane as it passed over me at about 60 feet.

Recorded some sounds, filtered out the noize, reversed it and put paulstretcher on it. Had to amplify the bass, because there was an incredibly awkward high-pitch sound in the background. We are back in germany and its raining again! i opened the window an little bit and recorded with my roland binaural mics the rain and raindrops that are falling from the window! you can clearly hear the drops but sometimes you have a little wind noise. Recorded with roand binaural microphones and zoom h1 in 96/24.

I created this sound using lmms ( linux multimedia studio ) using various ladspa effects and layered a few zynaddsubfx synths, with some automation to tame the fall off's by automating the volume faders. Enjoy :).

Taken from a window, this is a soundscape in vilnius old town, lithuania. You can hear a concert happening far away, cars, and general city hum / noise.

Coffee shop in tokyo. Lots of background noise and conversation. Staff is cleaning. Espresso drinks are being made. This recording was made with a stereo pair of mics placed at a coincidental 120 degree angle.
